Charles of Austria (15 September 1607 – 30 July 1632) was infante of Spain, the second son of Philip III of Spain and Margaret of Austria. His role in history is enigmatic at best.
Due to political complications caused by the arrival of Grantville, Don Carlos[1] did not go to Barcelona in 1632, as he had in the OTL. As a result, he did not contract the illness which killed him in the OTL, and remained alive, at least as of September 1634. Phillip IV expressed his gratitude about Carlos missing his OTL cause of death, and talked with Olivares about finding a suitable bride for him. [2]
