Beelzebub (also Baalzebub), literally translated as "the Lord of the Flies", is a Semitic deity that was worshiped in the Philistine city of Ekron. In later Christian and Biblical sources, he is referred to as another name for Satan, or alternatively, is counted as one of the seven princes of Hell.

Beelzebub in "The Flood Was Fixed"[]

Baalzebub was the archdevil of Satan, and serving as the Devi's close advisor. Despite Baalzebub's gentle suggestions, Satan decided to enter into a wager with God that the entire human race could be made to doubt Creation. Baalzebub was dubious about Satan's proposed theory of Evolution, and advised against Satan's wager. In the end, Baalzebub was right.
