Brillo was a periodical, political cartoon strip published by the Grantville Times which featured the title character Brillo the ram, whose attempts to mate with ewes were thwarted by his owners. The titular ram was based on a real ram owned by Flo Richards of Grantville, which constantly escaped from his pen and interfered with Richards' merino breeding program. The periodical was created after a bystander overheard Richards sharing her exploits with the troublesome ram.
