Connie Craig was the wife of G.C. Cooper and waitress at the 250 Club.
On one night, Connie was escorted to her home from her workplace by G.C.'s brother Tommy Cooper, Jr., known to everyone as "Young Tommy". But on the way to Happy Hills, a drunken Young Tommy attempted to rape Connie. Connie killed Young Tommy with her knife in self-defense. Connie was shocked by what had happened and confessed what she had done to her husband. G.C., who cared more about Connie than his brother, and tried to deflect suspicion from her by stealing Young Tommy's gun. G.C. even attempted to decapitate Young Tommy's corpse. The next morning Connie and her extended family were interviewed by Officers Jurgen Neubert and Marvin Tipton concerning Young Tommy's death. Connie, who was clearly worried did not reveal the cause of Young Tommy's death and only answered that she only knew several specific people at the 250 Club who had last saw of Young Tommy.
That night, Connie and G.C. tried to leave Grantville only to be stopped by Neubert and Tipton, who had figured out Young Tommy's death. G.C. was subdued after pointing a gun at the officers, and Connie peacefully surrendered and admitted her crime. Although Connie was cited for Young Tommy's death, her actions were deemed justified. She did suffer as a result: she was laid off from her the 250 Club, and forced to move back in with her family by her unforgiving parents-in-law.
