Constanzia visited her cousin Catharina Sulzer and her family in Badenburg, which was close to where the Ring of Fire had desposited Grantville. Marco tasked Constanzia and Catharina with visiting Grantville to research their family. There, Constanzia's older half-brother, Johann Martin Luther Sulzer, who'd been teaching science at Grantville High School for over a year, arranged to get her a position teaching Italian and French at the school. While here, she befriended the Barbie Consortium and Other People's Money.
Constanzia was among those attracted to the growing Pentecostal movement after hearing radio host Dieter Fischer. She and Catharina sbusequently visited Fischer himself during his sermons. Constanzia found Fischer very appealing and mesmerizing. She became a frequently visitor to the Pentecostal Church for Bible study.
