Eberhard III, Duke of Württemberg (16 December 1614 Stuttgart – 2 July 1674 Stuttgart) ruled as Duke of Württemberg from 1628 until his death in 1674.

20-year-old Eberhard attended the CoC meetings in Mainz, mostly due to his attraction to Agathe 'Tata' Donner, daughter of the tavern owner and chairman of the Mainz CoC.
He died in May 1635 outside of Schorndorf in Wurttemberg, injured while helping the city evacuate during a major fire that swept through nearly the entire town. As he died without children, and his two younger brothers had also died, he ultimately decided to leave the duchy to its people to govern themselves upon his death.
