Eleazer Wheelock Ripley (1782–1839) a distinguished American general during the War of 1812, and a U. S. Representative from Louisiana from 1835 until 1839.
Eleazer Ripley in Trail of Glory[]
Eleazer Ripley was given command of the Second Brigade of the Army of the Niagara at the Battle of Chippewa. After that victory, Ripley found himself in command at the Battle of Lundy's Lane when both Jacob Brown and Winfield Scott were badly injured.
