Georg Kresse was the leader of a band of rebels in the Vogtland area of Saxony. His forces were credited with the elimination of John George I, and aided in the defense of Dresden against Johan Banér.
After the USE Civil War, George and his growing band of rebels moved to Lower Silesia to help Gretchen Richter deal with Polish Mercenaries under Heinrich Holk.
