The Higgins Hotel was built in Grantville sometime between 1632 and 1633, and was owned by Delia Higgins. The hotel consists of a mid-rise, which held shops, the hotel lobby, the restaurant, a lounge, and the movie theater. And also a conference center, with both conference rooms and hospitality suites. Through the lobby is a rectangular inner courtyard, which led to a high-rise (nicknamed "the tower").

While during the early phase of construction, the hospitality suites were rented out at outrageous prices to extravagant visitors, who wanted to make an impression.

The movie theater was equipped with a VCR and a large projection TV; the hotel charged admission and split the profits with the TV owner. Movie admission was free to hotel guests, but they had to sign in, so they could be accounted for.
