Joachim von Donnersberg (also Joachim Donnersberger) (1561 — September 18, 1650) was supreme court chancellor and privy councilor to Maximilian I of Bavaria during the Thirty Years' War.
Joachim Donnersberger in 1632[]
In early 1634, Joachim Donnersberger (1561 — July 1634) was originally inclined to allow Duke Maximilian I to abdicate and enter a monastery following the death of Duchess Elisabeth Renata. However, he did not particularly want Maximilian's brother Albrecht to become duke, so he advised Maximilian to remain as duke and to remarry.
After the Archduchess Maria Anna of Austria fled from Munich to avoid marrying Maximilian, Donnersberger was executed in Maximilian's purge of his advisors.
