Missy Jenkins is the daughter of Chad Jenkins, the sister of Chip Jenkins as well as the eventual wife of Ron Stone.
Following the Ring of Fire, Missy graduated from Grantville High School on the accelerated schedule, initially beginning training to be a teacher. While her father frequently had her helping with work at his business, it wasn't really what she was interested in. After her mother Debbie took over the teacher training program, however, Missy transferred to the State Library, training to be an information librarian, where she became good friends with Pamela Hardesty. It was with Pam that she began taking motorcycle lessons from Denise and Buster Beasley in the fall of 1634. During a practice run with Pam on the road to the Lothlorien Farbenwerke, she gave Ron Stone a ride home, ending in a kiss.
After getting engaged to Ron, Missy was surprised to find out that the tradition of wives taking their husband's last names is only done within a few parts of England during this time. She still changes her last name due to her strained relationship with her mother
