Munich ( /ˈmjuːnɪk/; (German: München, pronounced [ˈmʏnçən], Austro-Bavarian: Minga) is the capital city of Bavaria, Germany. It is located on the River Isar north of the Bavarian Alps. Munich is the third largest city in Germany, behind Berlin and Hamburg. About 1.35 million people live within the city limits. Munich hosted the 1972 Summer Olympics.
Munich in 1632[]
Munich, like the rest of Bavaria, actually benefited from the arrival of Grantville. The changes caused by American intervention in the Thirty Years' War meant that Gustavus Adolphus did not enter, or even approach, the city. Also, it is implied that plague did not strike Munich in 1634, as it had in the OTL.
