The Niagara River is a river in North America. It flows north from Lake Erie to Lake Ontario. It forms part of the border between the Province of Ontario in Canada and New York State in the United States.
Niagara River in Trail of Glory[]
On July 3, 1814, American Army of the Niagara successfully crossed the Niagara River near Fort Erie. This crossing was in advance of the Battle of Chippewa.
In a comical moment, Brigadier Winfield Scott, while leading his army across, walked into a deep part of the river and was completely submerged.
