Wesley Williams "Wes" Jenkins b. 1952 was government and Consular Service director of the State of Thuringia-Franconia, who was kidnapped in August 1634, along with his eventual wife Clara Bachmeierin and the Abbot of Fulda, Johann Bernhard Schenk von Schweinsberg. The kidnapping was carried out by Felix Gruyard, by order of Ferdinand of Bavaria (bishop), Archbishop of Cologne.
While Schweinsberg was taken directly to Gruyard at the Field Headquarters of the Archbishop somewhere near Bonn, Wes and Clara were locked in the pantry of a small castle. Karl von Schlitz's great uncle's mistress's castle, where he himself had been hiding since escaping custody in September of 1633.
